Generations of Ridden Champions:
It all began with my late parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Eckley of the Cusop stud. As a child I rode my parents "Cusop" ponies. My first show pony was the Welsh section A Criban Activity, unbeaten in the Welsh Mountain ridden classes, winning the Royal Welsh four years in succession.

On her retirement, she was given to me as a wedding present, in foal to Bwlch Valentino. She was the start of the Courtway Ponies.
The "Courtway" prefix was founded in 1965 on Cusop, Criban, Ready Token and Bwlch Valentino lines.
The other main influence on the stud was Ready Token Pandora. She was introduced as a ridden pony for my daughters, winning many championships including BSPS champion leading rein pony of the year for three years in succession, before retiring to stud.

Gemma on Courtway Autumn Belle and Lucy on Courtway Felicity were honored to take part in the "Powys Picnic" Golden Jubilee Celebration in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen in June 2002.
